We both come from large families and always wanted a family of our own. Unfortunately, we have been unable to conceive naturally so our decision to adopt came very easy to us. Mike as well as his two siblings were adopted by their father. Mike’s father was also adopted, as well as an aunt and cousin. We are close to our families and spend a lot of time together. We are always together for the holidays, birthdays, and family dinners. This bond and sense of security means so much to both of us and we would love to provide this support system to your baby.

We have the tiniest understanding of what you are going through because Jerry’s step-mother was a birthmother herself 40 years ago when she allowed her child Mitchell to be adopted. Mitchell was reconnected with our family and we recently traveled to Seattle to attend his wedding. We’ve shared our desire to adopt with them to gain some sort of perspective from your point of view. It is difficult to show all of whom and what we are in just one letter, but we are thrilled that we have the chance to share our lives with you. We hope that we can make this difficult yet brave decision easier for you. We are Brian and Nikki. Currently, our family consists of us, our daughter (Rileigh), and our twelve-year-old Australian Shepherd (Maitlyn). Nikki and I have been married for a little more than eleven years. We met at a local college, dated for a year, and were married in June of 1997.

In other words, we simply want our children to have an opportunity to have a wonderful life.
